There are two different groups which play at the same venue throughout the year, the Racquet Club of Concord, at 10 Garvins Falls Road, 603-224-7787. There are three courts for play.
One time slot is every Sunday morning from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m., and for this period the group requests that players be of at least an intermediate level. Typically, 6-8 players show up, so there is often an unused court. The per-visit cost is $8 for the group and $2 for birds if you choose to use the club-supplied birds, but you are welcome to bring your own. Please contact Mark R. at mryno07@hotmail.com or 603-497-2661 for details about the Sunday time slot. This is the group that used to play in Manchester.
The other time slot is every Wednesday evening from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. This period is getting a rotating group of 12-14 players, from novice to advanced level. The cost is $8 per visit. Mark R., mentioned above, is willing to field inquiries about this time slot, or you can call the Racquet Club.

This club meets year-round up to several times each week at the new (as of May, 2011) Nashua YMCA (603-882-2011) at 24 Stadium Drive in Nashua, NH. If you look at the map from this link, the arrow labelled B is on the wrong side of Stadium Drive, but the YMCA is otherwise right in that area - it is right across the street from the stadium. This new YMCA is located off of Exit 5W of Route 3 in the same campus as Stellos Stadium and Conway Ice Arena. Take Route 111 West, away from Nashua Center, and turn right at the signal at Riverside St. Then make a left onto Stadium Drive. The club has its own web site at: http://snhbc.com.
Alex Sakharov is an active player at this club who also hosts a web page about some badminton clubs. Please go to http://sakharov.net/badminton where up-to-date information used to be available.

There are no showers, but there is a changing area. Water is available. Although there is no fee, it is suggested that each player purchases a tube of shuttlecocks from the club for $25, so that they can keep the supply ongoing.

This is an adult activity of the Westford Recreation Department for players at least 18 years old. It started in late March, 2011, and interest has been sufficient to continue with the activity. It is being held at the Westford, MA Blanchard Middle School at 14 West Street in Westford, MA.
Players of all levels are welcome, from beginner/recreational to experienced/advanced. Beginners will be taught. Bring your own racquet. Feathered birds are supplied. There are three courts with taped blue lines.
There has been thus far a wide range of playing abilities of the players. Mostly, play is doubles, but there is ample time for some singles. There is no formal system of choosing who plays - with the current numbers and the willingness of all players to play anyone, this has not been a problem. The ceiling is very high, and bird visibility in general is pretty good.
The front entrance to the school is no longer to be used for this activity. Drive around to the right side of the building to park, and enter the school near the dumpsters. The gym is close to that entrance.
There are two options for paying fees:
You may sign up for a session of several evenings of play for $75 (for a town resident); the non-resident fee may be more. Beginning 18-Aug-12, you may register in person at the Recreation Department Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., by mail, or on-line at: http://www.WestfordRec.com
You may drop in for one night of play for a fee of $12.
For more information, see http://www.westfordrec.com/info/activities/program_details.aspx?ProgramI... or call the Recreation Department at 978-692-5532.
